His finding: “But the truth is, this is not actually a 48-megapixel lens. This is actually a 13-megapixel lens. And besides, this is the same lens that came inside the TECNO Camon 12. And also, the Mediatek Helio P35 that runs on this device is not capable of 48 megapixels. It is only capable of 13 megapixels x2, which is maximum 25 megapixels.” There you have it, dear Mobilistas. An interesting expose on the rear camera of the Infinix S5 Pro. How did infinix Mobility arrive at 48 megapixels for the rear camera when the actual specifications is 13 megapixels? Is there any explanation of this from Infinix? Is there a technical explanation? Note also that the official specs sheet of TECNO Camon 12 mentions 16 megapixels, not 13 megapixels. What is responsible for this descripancy? How many other phones are smartphone manufacturers “lying” about their specifications and features?
